Training and Advice 2000

asde promotes goal identification workshops that in a informal, dynamic, and participatory way help plan different complex aspects of the institutional work not only in institutions of developed countries but also institutions in developing countries.

As part of our regular procedures, asde carries out project identification workshops in situ. These workshops are participative and occur together will all of the organizations involved in the project. In this way we guarantee that the project preparation will incorporate exhaustive information about the local reality.

In March 2000 in Zaragoza, a workshop for introducing participtory planning was held.

From the 7th to the 9th of november 2000 there was a workshop in Barcelona on the "Management of projects for the European Commission."

From the 26th of September to the 8th of October of 2000 in Santiago, Chile, staff from asde held an identification workshop for a project developing community spaces which is called "Mas Ciudadania."

From the 19th of November to the 20th of December 2000 in Ecuador, asde participated in a mission for the re-identification of three projects: DRI in Esmereldas, DRI en Cotopaxi y Salud en Esmeraldas, bilateral projects between the Government of Ecuador and the European Comission.

In February 2000, staff member of ASDE, due to a petition of KATE from Germany, carried out a visit of technical assistance and monitoring about the project PANA 2000 " Andean Program of Municipal and NGOs Strengthening for the Environmental Management toward the year 2000" financed by the European Commission and implemented in Venezuela (by CESAP), Colombia (by FORO and CEHAP), Ecuador (by CUIDAD), Peru (by CIDAP), Bolivia (by CERES) and Chile (by SUR).
