Training and Advice 2001

asde promotes goal identification workshops that in a informal, dynamic, and participative way help plan different complex aspects of the institutional work not only in institutions of developed countries but also institutions in developing countries.

As part of our regular procedures, asde carries out project identification workshops in situ. These workshops are participative and occur together will all of the organizations involved in the project. In this way we guarantee that the project preparation will incorporate exhaustive information about the local reality.

Technical and financial assistance

asde is an institution that specializes in development projects and has expertise in budget lines for NGOs which include B76000 and Bilateral Cooperation B76200 of the European Commission. asde also offers technical-financial assistance to international institutions, especially regarding housing and infrastructure projects.

In October and November of 2001, in Menorca and Ibiza, personnel of ASDE facilitated a meeting over water for the Baleares Islands, a meeting organized by FED, Ecology and Development Foundation, Spain.

From the 3rd to the 8th of feburary 2001, in Stuttgart, Germany, financial assessments were done on three projects supported by the European Commission and organized by the German NGO, KATE.

From the 2nd until the 10th of April, 2001, a techno-financial assistance meeting for the binational Peru-Ecuador project, "Paso y Paso" was held. The local actors are DESCO of Peru, and CIUDAD of Ecuador.

From the 22 of october to the 4th of november, 2001, in Manil, Philippines, the first techno-financial visit for "Habitat for Humanity Partnership Project," was held. This is a low-cost housing project sponsered by the local NGO, Habitat for Humanity -Philippines.

From the 19th of April to the 25th of August 2001, in San Vicente, Republic of El Salvador, a technical support workshop was held for a project called San Vincente Productivo. This project is a collaboration between the European Commission and the Government of the Republic of El Salvador.
