"AKILI NI MALI":
Empowering Kenyan Farmers with information and knowledge |

SUMMARY
This project will take four years
for completion and serve to boost health security and reduce poverty in
Kenya by improving the information and education of Keyan agriculture for
small farmers in order to promote productivity and profitability.
OBJECTIVE
To provide information and
education to small farmers in order to increase income and productivity.
This will be accomplished through a network of sustainable information
centers.

RESULTS
A. A network of community
information centers have been established and are functioning.
B. A series of information
resources have been created which include information about accessible and
relevant technology, agro-inputs, and credit and marketing information.
C. The information has been
disseminated and is now being applied by farmers in the area.

SUMMARY
CABI RBPC and their partners
have proposed a project for the improvement of health security and the
reduction of poverty in Pakistan by improving the quality, quantity and
profitability of small farm vegetable production in the poorest areas of
the country.

SUMMARY
This project will take four
years for completion and focus on constructing a full and active
citizenship by means of boosting not only participation at the local
level but processes of economic, social and technical development.
OBJECTIVE
To boost the autonomy,
skilled participation, and resolve capacity of the popular actors.

RESULTS
A. Community actors and
institutions are linked by the project goal to form strong and capable
regional objectives
B.Popular actors are
strengthened, with increased autonomy, through a sustainable process of
microcompanies that are productive and improve income levels.
C. Qualified participation
from the local actors in defining and carrying out local development.

appropriation of technology tools, the quality of life for all actors

SUMMARY
This three year project will
contribute to the improvement of the quality of life for communities in
central america with few economic resources. This will be done through
the implementation of a sustainable housing project.
OBJECTIVE
To encourage the township
developments of Cuscatlán in El Salvador, Totonicapán in Guatemala,
Santa Cruz de Yojoa in Honduras and Jinotega in Nicaragua through the
implementation of a participative and sustainable housing project.

RESULTS
A. The participative aspect
of this project has strengthened the development of the community.
B. The quality of family and
community management has been improved.
C. The sustainablity of the
rotating fund is secured.
D. The houses built are safe
and of good quality.
E. The participating
organizations have a stronger technical, financial, social, and

SUMMARY
This
project will take two years for completion and will organize and
solidify the formation of local habitat management and local sustainable
development. This program will use virtual technologies and teachings.
OBJECTIVE
To
develop and strengthen a virtual development and production system that
can be sustained within a regional academic community, and that has the
capacity to offer services to improve the management strategies for
habitat management and local development within medium and small
municiples in Bolivia, Columbia, Ecuador, and Peru.

RESULTS
A.
Agreements between the local participants, defined themes, and arranged
programs that focus on virtual formation.
B.
Local actor groups have been formed and strengthened to take on habitat
management and local democratic development.
C.
Regional observatories and offices for habitat management and local
development.
D.
A strong and operational regional academic network that works in four
countries and acts as a center for management learning.

SUMMARY
This is a three year project
that will contribute to improving the local management and the quality
of life within the population. It will favor sustainable development and
the idea of a proactive citizenship in intermediate municiples and the
larger city localities in Latin America organizing and generating inter-actor
relations of North-South, North-North, and South-South.
OBJECTIVE
To promote strong strategies
and actions for local development training in intermediate and
localities of large cities for local development in Bolivia, Brazil,
Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela, and to foster relations
of north-south, north-north and south-south.

A. Spaces for participative
coordination and centrals for the formulation of valid local management.
B. Local actos (men and women)
formed and strengthened to support a fully functional population.
C. A development network; one
that is united in management capacity and operational in the
participating countries and institutions.
