SUMMARY
This project will be implemented
in Guatemala and Costa Rica and require three years for completion.
"Papo," promotes citizen processes for local participatory
development by developing local leadership and institutions that put into
action, as part of their methodology, the incorporation of the majority of
the community in determining the priorities of the citizenship. The
preparation in problem-solving methodologies for the local issues allows
participation motivated towards open debates and consensus, so that the
final decisions are representative of the majority of the people affected by
the outcome.

OBJECTIVE
To activly boost development in 4
communities in Guatemala and 4 in Cuba, and besides the development progress,
the activation and creation of channels and oportunities for participation
and agreement between strategic actors (institutional actors and local
leaders).
RESULTS
A. Areas for participative
consulting have been used to identify the priorities of local management.
B. The suggestive and executive
capability of the strategic community actors has been strengthened (leaders
and institutions).
C. The quality of life has been
improved and the capacity to execute plans has been accomplished in each
community by small intervention projects.
D. Each of the 8 communities have
come up with a strategic sustainable development plan. Management of

SUMMARY
This project will contribute,
by means of the management of local initiatives to help those most in
need, by improving the quality of life for families with limited means.
This project will construct 328 safe, sturdy, and low-cost houses that
will directly benefit 2,000 people. All of these people are part of the
groups of those with limited economic means which includes single
mothers and migrant groups.
OBJECTIVE
To change the housing
conditions of families with limited resources in Santo Domingo de los
Colorados, |
Ecuador, Cochabamba, Bolivia ,
y Asunción, Paraguay, by implementing a sustainable rotating fund for
the improvement and construction of houses which are safe, stable, and
low-cost, and that include key actors of the social community.

SUMMARY
The
project, "Construyendo el Futuro", will be implemented in the
communities of West Demerara in Guyana and Paraíso in the Dominican
Republic which have been organized and mobilized to find a solution for
the basic need for housing. These areas are strongly united in
contributing to the elimination of subhuman housing by means of
participative and educational processes that will assist families with
low incomes, encouraging a better individual and community integration,
by the autoconstruction process of 137 appropriate technology houses and
strengthened by a rotating fund for the sustainability of the project.
This project will benefit 712 people, with another significant number of
people who will indirectly benefit from the same activities.

OBJECTIVE
To assist low-income families
in West Demerara, Guyana, and Paraiso, Dominican Republic, to housing
access, the appropriate us of a sustainable rotating fund and guarantee
adequate training.
RESULTS
A. Alternative, economical,
and quality housing built for families with few resources.
B. An auto-sustainable system
of credit recovery was established.
C. To develop Families,
Director Groups, Local Committees, HfH personnel sufficiently capable
and informed.

SUMMARY
The project, «Construyendo
Comunidades» will take two years for completion and will assist in
developing the quality of life for venezuelan families living in
precarious conditions. This project will succeed through a progressive
housing development, design and a participative form of management
supported by solid financial mechanisms of savings and credit that
contribute in overcoming the deficit in venezuela, while at the same
time creating empowered and autosustainable communities.

OBJECTIVE
To promote the community
development, 17 of September, of the city El Tigre, in the state of
Anzoategui, in Venezuela through the operation of a rotating fund, for
use in a program of progressive and safe housing development, designed
and managed through community organization.

SUMMARY
This
project takes specific note of the formation of the local actors and the
implementation of interventions that exemplify a participative-democratic
management and favor changes in politics for local sustainable
development. It will benefit a:) local authorities; b) municipal
technicians and profesionals; c)community directors/leaders (men and
women); d) social civil groups and associations; e)technicians and
profesionals of NGOs, cooperatives, churches, etc. The project
activities will be structured with various focusees: a) concerted
definition of central themes and plans for training and intervention; b)
formation and strengthening of the local actors; c) implementation of
interventions that favor community income and exemplify the
participative-democratic management; d) network activities in themes of
local development and informed management, by means of north-south,
north-north, and south-south synergies and e) an efficient coordination,
administration, monitor, and vision .

To
determine strategies and participative actions for training and
intervention for the local development in intermediate towns (municipals,
provinces etc) and areas or zones of the large cities in: Bolivia,
Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela and favor north-south,
north-north, and south-south synergies.
RESULTS
A.
Spaces for functioning participative coordination and focusees of valid
formation and intervention -for the local management.
B.
Local actors (men and women) have been formed and strengthened to
exercise a fully functional citizenship.
D.
A development network and management groups strengthened and operating
in the participating countries and institutions.
E.
Regional projects are efficiently coordinated, administrated, and
monitored.
