SUMMARY
This three
years duration aims to the education of agents of change for a
participatory and democratic management oriented to an environmental and
sustainable local development.
OBJETIVE
Strength
the environmental management’s participation and capacities of local
actors (men and women), in medium size municipalities and in big cities
of Ecuador.

RESULTS
A-
Participative spaces of coordination are organized and formation and
intervention axes -for the environmental management are validated.
B- Local
actors (men and women) are formed and fortified in their capacities for
sustainable environmental management and their exercise of a full
citizenship.
C- Local
Agents and actors (men and women) developed participatory actions of
intervention that aim to a sustainable environmental management
D- CIUDAD
and ECOGESTION’s units of knowledge management are fortified and worked
in network, with the participating institutions from North and South.

humanos de las mujeres para una vida libre de violencia" Project

SUMMARY
CEPAM proposes to promote the
validity of the women's human rights in order to achieve a life free of
violence, through the strengthening of insitutions that offer services
for prevent and face the domestic violence in five cities of the
country.
OBJECTIVE
Improve quality of life of
the urban population in Equator by strengthening human rights and
eradication of the domestic
violence. By the end of 2006, women of the five cities were the project
is executed, who were victims of violence in slums, know and exercise
their human rights, especially the right to a life free of violence.

RESULTS
A-
Women and other victims of sexual and inside family violence benefit
from the professional services of penalty counsels of the defence in the
five local partners NGOs and from correct administration of justice in
the Woman and Family Commissionerships.
B-
Women from far away neighbourhoods of the cities and areas where Woman
and Family Commissionerships no exist, have access to information on
administration of justice in cases of no conventional
domestic
violence.
C-
The population is
sensitized and the justice administration personnel of the five cities
of the project have better knowledge on the sexual violence problematic,
improving capacity of attention and prevention
E. The project is
efficiently managed, coordinated, monitored and evaluated

Project

Bangladesh Protibandhi Kallyan Somity (BPKS)
SUMMARY
This
project aims to ensure that rights, participation and actualisation
of opportunities are equal for all people with disabilities so they
are able to contribute to the development process and their
inclusion in society and reduce their level of poverty.
OBJECTIVE
Poverty is alleviated. Peolpe with
disabilities are socially and economicaly empowered. Basic needs are
addressed, human rights ensured and the status of grassroots people
with disabilities is improved.

RESULTS
A. Disabled person's self-help
organisations are developed and strengthened.
B. Economic activities and the
creation of employment opportunities are promoted and increased.
C.
Effective participation, collaboration & coordination between BPKS,
disabled peoples' organisations & government structures are ensured.
D. Provision and access to adequate
health services for persons with disabilities are ensured.
E. Integration of chidren with
disabilities into the educational system is promoted.
F. Action is successfully managed.

SUMMARY
This
project is
oriented toward unprivileged citizens of 4 coastal cities, generating
the development of leadership capacities and demonstrative social
grassroots organizations and activities with an incident on public
policies.
OBJECTIVE
Contribute to the consolidation of democracy and sustainable
development in Peru, by fortifying the local capacities in the
framework of decentralization and reform of the State.

This
project aims to the
formation of local actors and execution of interventions that illustrate
a democratic and participatory management, focus toward changes in
politics for a sustainable local development. The action will be
developed in small and intermediate sized areas (municipalities of
Alausí and Ambato) and in big cities (Quito).
OBJECTIVE
Contribute
to improve the municipal management for a sustainable development and
the exercise of a pro-active citizenship in Ecuadorian municipalities.

SUMMARY
This three year action will aware and motivate tourists, tour operators,
policy makers and other multipliers on Fair Trade in Tourism and will
provide tools to change their individual and institutional policy and
practices. NGOs in Europe and Developing countries will agree on
criteria and strategies as a common base for futher action stowards a
contribution for poverty reduction un Developing Countries.
OBJECTIVE
To contribute to the reduction of poverty in developing countries by
strengthening global dialogue. Creating solutions to the problems of
tourism development through the empowerment of those working for Fair
Trade in Tourism in the South and in Europe.

RESULTS
A-
Agreement on criteria and strategies on Fair Trade in Tourism has been
achieved by a significant number of NGOs and civil society groups in
European and Developing Countries.
B- Travellers are informed about Fair Trade in Tourism and have the
relevant criteria for their decision-making.
C- Tour Operators, policy makers and other multipliers are aware of
criteria, experiences and practices of Fair Trade in Tourism.
D- Development awarness project successfully managed.
