SUMMARY

This 18 months duration project aims to disseminate the best grid connected joint ownership photovoltaic (PV) plants existing models and experience in Germany, Spain, France and Portugal, thus contributing to the general development of PV.

 

OBJETIVE

The project aims to widen the democratization of renewable energy sources,  to promote grid-connected PV solar energy, to provide the necessary tools for the implementation of solar installations by small producers  (Germany, Spain, France  and Portugal).

RESULTS

A-  Project properly administrated, coordinated and evaluated. 

B- Market research and legal frameworks correctly compared and diffused in order to be established in other contexts. 

C- Facilitated the reproduction of successful projects in Germany, Spain, France and Portugal.

D- Adequate methodology and information on financing mechanisms. 

E-  Actors of civil society properly awarded, interested and capable to reproduce the experiences. 

F-Network of discussion and undertaking of actions properly conformed and operating in the countries.

G-  Activities of common diffusion.

ECUADOR and PERU

"PACHAMAMA" : Strengthening of planning, management and negotiation capacities of black and native communities in Equador and Peru.

SUMMARY

This project wants to contribute to the strengthening of planning, management and negotiation capacities of black and native grassroots communities in Equator and Peru in order to make real their rights to the participatory management of their territories; their quality of life improvement; and the management and conservation of their natural resources, and development in the framework of their culture.

 

OBJECTIVE

Contributing to the elimination of any kind of discrimination against South American black and native grassroots

communities thanks to training in order to participate, contribute, apply and give monitoring to the mechanisms and international plan of action connected with promotion and protection of their rights. 

RESULTS

A- Black and native grassroots communities of Imbabura and Carchi and Luya - Amazon are aware of the International Labour Organization’s Agreement 169 contents; trained and qualified to make active their rights to participate in the management of their territories,  the improvement of their quality of life, their natural resources management and conservation, and the development in the framework of their own culture.

B- Black and native grassroots communities have increased their degree of internal organization and are capable to carry out social control, to participate and contribute to the public politic proposal definition that involves the participating management of their territories, the improvement their quality of life , the management and conservation of their natural resources, and the development in the framework of their own culture. 

C- Black and native grassroots communities are capable of developing productive development plans and projects that contribute to the improvement  of their quality of life, the management and conservation of their natural resources, and the development in the framework of their own culture. 

D-  Black and native grassroots communities are fortified due to regional and international exchanges of experiences. 

E-  Social organizations in Germany and Spain are aware of the International Labour Organization’s Agreement 169 contents and the situation of Ecuadorian and Peruvian black and native communities participating in the project.

F. The project is efficiently managed, coordinated, monitored and evaluated

"BIOasis" : Maintaining the Biodiversity of the oasis of Chenini-Gabès' ecosystem.

SUMMARY

This project aims to maintain biodiversity by fighting against genetic erosion of the vulnerable ecosystem of the Oasis of Chenini Gabès, situated 400 km.  in the south-east of Tunisia.

 

OBJECTIVE

To guarantee the food sovereignty food thanks to the production of not hybrid seeds, by promoting the sustainable rural development of the Oasis of Chenini Gabès.

 

RESULTS

A. Seeds of the oasis are inventoried and available to the population. 

B.  Seeds are produced in situ and selected by the ASOC. 

C.  Farmers "fellahs" are trained in order to produce not hybrid seeds. 

D. Population is aware and involved in the use of the genetic patrimony.

SUMMARY

The project aims to improve the Chenini population’s quality of life and health by protecting the Oasis’ vulnerable ecosystem.

 

OBJECTIVE

To improve the quality of life of the population from the Oasis of Chenini-Nahal, with the optimization of a sustainable and orderly management of the Urban Solid Residues (USR) and with an increment of the resources and population awareness

RESULTS

A.USR are collected and classified properly at a domestic level in one Chenini-Nahal’s neighbourhood. 

B. An itinerary of classification and harvesting of USR process is created.

C. USR processed and recycled in a sustainable way

D. Population is aware, involved and implied in the protection of the environment.

E. The project is efficiently managed, coordinated, monitored and evaluated

"LIFE ON THE ROAD" Reducing the environmental impact of the road infrastructures in Castilla y León

SUMMARY

This project offers an innovative vision in the design and application of measures that contribute to reduce the environmental impact originated by traffic accident caused by the raid of animals in  Castilla y Leon’s road infrastructures, mainly in three aspects: improvement of the road security, conservation of the fauna and reduction of the significant quantity of artificial and biological residues that are generated. 

 

OBJECTIVE

To contribute  to mitigate conflicts between the species conservation and natural spaces and development of the road infrastructures in countries of the European Union.

 

RESULTS

A-The environmental impact caused by the raid of animals in road infrastructures is prevented and reduced with innovative measures. 

B.  Authorities and key actors are working in the regulatory adaptation product of the results obtained. 

C. Population is aware of this problem and results about the described problem are spread. 

D- Project efficiently coordinated, managed, monitored and visualized.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

"Vida y Naturaleza" - Integrating an environmental dimension in the process of sustainable local development of the high basin of the river Mao.

SUMMARY

This 3 years duration project

seeks to establish a model of training, production, commercialization and agro ecologic awareness focus on the environment preservation of the high basin of the river Mao and it will benefit 345.000 people of the region with low income and will generate a great environmental impact in the whole the area.

 

OBJECTIVE

To integrate the environmental dimension in the process of sustainable local development in the northwest region of the Dominican Republic and to establish a model of training, production, commercialization and  agro ecologic awareness focus on the environment preservation of the high basin of the river Mao.

 

RESULTS

A. Coffee and organic fruit trees certificates and produced by rural families in the area of the high basin of the river Mao. 

B. Strategy of commercialization and a potential access to European markets established and functioning, and increase of beneficiary rural families’ incomes. 

C.  Beneficiary rural families are properly qualified in agro ecological production of coffee and fruit tress, with a focus on food security . 

D. A proposal of awareness and valuation of the environmental services derived from products of the basin, is elaborated, discussed and socialized by the beneficiaries and actors of the project (aquifer resources, floors, flora and fauna). 

E. An eco tourist program is established for the visitors’ awareness on the importance of the basin and payment mechanisms for environmental services are determinated (fixation of carbon, scenic beauty, biodiversity, soil conservation and hydrologic services). 

F. The project is efficiently managed, coordinated, monitored and evaluated.
