Training and Advice 2005

ASDE promotes goal identification workshops that in a informal, dynamic, and participative way help plan different complex aspects of the institutional work not only in institutions of developed countries but also institutions in developing countries.

These workshops are carried out in situ and use a participatory methodology. They are conducted jointly with all the organizations involved in the project, thus ensuring that the formulation of the project includes exhaustive information on local reality.

Technical and financial assistance

ASDE is an institution specialized in development projects with largely experienced professionals in the NGO cofinancing budget line of the European Commission (21-02-03 (Ex: B7-6000) and Bilateral Cooperation B76200). ASDE also offers technical and financial assistance to international institutions, particularly regarding housing and infrastructure projects.

From February 21 to 24, 2005 a planning participatory workshop on projects in execution and on new projects was held in Stuttgart.

From April 03 to 18, 2005  in Quito, Ecuador, was carried out the technical and financial assistance of the fourth period of the binational project Perú-Ecuador "Paso a paso", cofinanced by the European Union, coordinated by the German organization  KATE and implemented by DESCO from Perú and  CIUDAD from Ecuador.

From July 03 to 15,  2005, in Quito, Guayaquil y Potoviejo, Ecuador, was held a monitoring visit of the firt period of the project  "Fortalecimiento de la vigencia de los derechos humanos de las mujeres para una vida libre de violencia", cofinanced by the European Commission, coordinated by the German organization Brot fur die Welt  and implemented by the Centro Ecuatoriano para la Promoción y Acción de la Mujer, CEPAM from Ecuador.

From July 14 to Agust 08, 2005, in Quito, Ecuador and Lima, Peru,  was carried out the final monitoring and closing of the project "Paso a paso", cofinanced by the European Union, coordinated by the German organization  KATE and implemented by DESCO from Perú and  CIUDAD from Ecuador.

From July to September 2005, in the context of the Project LIFE “Sustainable Organizations”, developed at a European level, ASDE to the request of KATE, carried out a study in Spain and more especially in Catalonia, in order to determine if there is a tendency in the Spanish nonprofit organizations to put in practice some system of environmental management and/or Corporate Social Responsibility.

From October 18 to 22, 2005, in Stuttgart, staff member of ASDE supported Kate in the Final Report revision process of the “Paso a Paso” and it's financial audit.

On January 15, 2005 in Valencia, Spain, ASDE participated as a speaker to the Conference organized by the Center of Rural Studies and International Agriculture (CERAI) about "International Cooperation Projects for Development".  This conference was dictated to 40 participants.

On February 26, 2005 in Valencia, ASDE carried out a presentation about Projects of International Cooperation for Development from the European Commission; it was dictated to 50 participants from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. 

From April 20 to 22, 2005, in Madrid, Spain, ASDE participated to the Debate on Basic Habitability and Development organized by the Foundation CEAR (Counsel of Support to Refugees). 

From May 6 to 8, 2005 in Valdeavellano, Soria, Spain, a seminar called “Seeking for Excellence - A quality management system for NGOs", organized by CIVES MUNDI, was held with the participation of 17 representatives of Spanish NGOs.

From May  13 to 15, 2005 in Valdeavellano, Soria, Spain, a seminar organized by CIVES MUNDI and called “ Financing budget lines and cycle of project in Cooperation for development by the EC" was carried out with the participation of 30 representatives of Spanish and foreign NGOs.

From November 10 to 12, 2005, in Madrid, Spain, ASDE participated as a speaker to the Conference “The Social Problem of Housing. The Role of the Social Economy and the Supportive Finances” organized by RUFAS (Network of Supportive and Alternative Financial Tools) where participated main Spanish institutions dedicated to Alternative Financing.
